Here at Trilogy we are proud to be the oldest family owned and operated Maui activity and sailing business. We are also committed to being the best activity company on Maui! This is something we work at every day. For starters, each member of our crew from entry-level deckhand to our most senior captains goes through extensive training that has earned our crew the reputation for being the very best on the island.
In addition to preserving the ancient art of sailing we are also preserving the lost art of island hospitality known here in Hawai‘i as Ho‘okipa. Unlike many of the big power catamarans that carry as many as 149 passengers, Trilogy boats average 35-40 guests. Here at Trilogy Ho‘okipa means more than just saying Aloha—it means living Aloha. It also means sharing our Manao (Knowledge). That's why we conduct year round training workshops for our staff that teach the islands history, culture, customs, and unique eco-system. Our many repeat customers are not surprised to find that in addition to their many other skills most of our crew are also certified naturalists.
These are just a few of the reasons why Trilogy is also the only Maui activity company with permission to personally bring guests over to the private Hulopo‘e Beach Park on the island of Lana‘i. Voted one of the top 3 beaches in Hawai‘i, Hulopo‘e is home to more varieties of endemic marine life than almost any place in the islands. Our staff on Lana‘i have mastered the art of Ho‘okipa and are proud to share their island's rich cultural and historical heritage with Trilogy guests from around the world. Trilogy is also the only company that offers a personalized guided tour of the islands historic plantation town with island born guides.
Ho‘okipa would not be complete without food (kau kau) and the Trilogy ‘ohana (family) prepares a veritable feast at the spectacular Hale O Manele overlooking Manele Bay. Using locally grown Kiawe wood and special island seasonings, the Trilogy BBQ has been called the "best island style BBQ in Hawai‘i!"
